Mushroom jungle

My one mushroom on the rock has grown into a jungle in the course of last year

Feeding bubble tip centipede

After keeping bubble tip anemone for over a year and half and growing, propagating a bunch of them, I came to realize you can feed them pretty much anything protein based! Tonight I fed it a centipede I caught!

New mini carpet

About two months ago I got my first maxi mini carpet anemone. I literally just threw it in without having to do anything and it's been thriving ever since. I decide to get another one based on this great experience to color up the tank!

Photo period spreadsheet

This is what happens when you do excel reports for living- I don't have excel at home but use numbers on a Mac- this is the revised document after trial and error with my light setting. I did plenty reading to make sure the light intensity of my photoperiod somewhat mimic the bell curve of that in real reef setting

In perspective

Sometimes pictures just dont do justice on the size and color of something under the reef lighting. But a little contrast helps. In this picture is my 3 year old yellow tang about 5" has not grown anymore for a while versus my squamosa clam to show its size and color.

Tank update

Update of the tank. The hawkfish has mysteriously disappeared about two weeks ago- searched the floor around and did not find any jumped body. Other than that everything is doing pretty well
